Don’t worry about the year ahead

As property investors, business people or entrepreneurs, one of our big challenges is not worrying about what is going to happen.

Just like last year, I predict this year the media will be full of negative messages.

We’ll read headlines like:future-ahead

  • The property market is going to crash
  • Australia is going into recession
  • Negative gearing is going to be removed

Truth is, no one knows exactly what is going to happen in life.

Our job as investors is to scan the landscape of reality looking for profitable opportunities.

When we worry we actually push good opportunities away from us because we get caught in what can go wrong.

This is not a profitable or happy way to live!

And of course worrying doesn’t mean you’ll find a solution.

Have you noticed that since you don’t know the outcome to your concerns you’re making a lot of “it” up?

And more often than not, what you worry about is much much worse than the eventual outcome?

When you worry the body responds by releasing hormones creating a feeling of nervousness and tension and you become fatigued, lack of energy and lose creativity.

Have you ever heard the old saying: “The fearful die a thousand deaths, the brave only one?”

So what do you do instead?

Instead of worrying what could go wrong look for solutions to problems rather than becoming a victim by worrying about the problem.

Worrying only makes the problem worse.

Become the pilot of your life, not the passenger.

Remain in control – take back your power in life by staying in the present and dealing with reality.

Don’t be a victim of circumstance; because you make your own internal environment.

You are the creator of your life by your thoughts and actions.

Your subconscious mind will produce whatever you ask for, and like a computer, it doesn’t care what information you put in, it will act on that information.

So you must stop letting worry control you.

My suggestion:

For the next 30 days – every time you catch yourself worrying about something simply write it down and ask your brain to start looking for workable solutions to the problem.

In other words…be proactive.
