11 Motivational Quotes to Help You Face Your Fears

What are you afraid of?

Have you ever really thought about it, the things that distract you, that are holding you back?

Are they worth fearing? Are they really worth the angst, the stress?

Probably not.

I’ve found most of the things we worry about never eventuate or are not as bad as we’d feared.

1. “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” ― Marie Curie

2. “Fears are nothing more than a state of mind.”  Napoleon Hill

4. “Each of us must confront our own fears, must come face to face with them. How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives. To experience adventure or to be limited by the fear of it.” Judy Blume

5. “I’ve come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy.” Tony Robbins

6. “Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.” Norman Vincent Peale

8. “Obstacles are like wild animals. They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can. If they see you are afraid of them… they are liable to spring upon you; but if you look them squarely in the eye, they will slink out of sight.”  Orison Swett Marden

9. “Success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable.” Coco Chanel

10. “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” Eleanor Roosevelt
